Laser markings on film
The task
Checking laser-marked film. Faults can occur in the laser-marking area as well as on the film surfaces. Typical laser faults are fuzzy contours. Faults that occur during printing are pinholes, smudged symbols, spots and colour deviations. The surface structure can be impaired by scratches, wrinkles and smooth areas.
Checking functions
- Symbols (edges, completeness, fraying, lightness, position). Checking under transmitted and reflected light.
- Surface checking for scratches, bubbles, spots and colour deviations in a special reflected light process
Special system features
- The system detects pinholes from a size of 0.05 mm in diameter. For films measuring 300 x 120 mm, the image capturing time is approx. 600 ms.
